According to Britain's Office of National Statistics, Spain recorded the highest number of people emigrating for a year or more. Experts have put this down to the lure of
property in Spain as British and Irish property buyers continue to flood in to Spain.
Although Australia officially topped the list with the most number of people emigrating from Britain, travel and emigration experts have put this down to the huge number of backpackers who visit the country on a 1-year visa scheme which has been operating successfully for some years.
