TheSaraService.com - Rental Property FAQ

Here some of the more frequently asked questions about renting a property short or long term in Spain. If you have a question you would like to see here then you can email it to us using our Contact Us section.

Q. What is the standard deposit when renting an apartment, villa or other rental property in Spain?

A. The standard deposit is equivalent to one month's rent, although this is at the discretion of the owner and sometimes can be higher depending on the value of the house. Typically when beginning the lease tenants would pay the equivalent of 2 months rent. This covers the first month's rent and the security deposit for the property.

Q. Are the rental properties on this site fully furnished or unfurnished?

A. TheSaraService.com has a wide variety of rental listings available and as such each is unique in its' own right. Having said that, the majority of the long term rental properties on our site come fully furnished and subject to a security deposit.

Short term rentals will nearly always come fully furnished as the average rental period for a holiday rental is between 1 and 2 weeks.
