How do I contact tasty trades? ›

What happened to the financial network previously known as tastytrade? The financial network is still our separate but affiliated company. It was rebranded to tastylive in December 2022. You can now visit the network's website at tastylive.com.

The broker formerly known as tastyworks officially changed its name to tastytrade in 2023, but that change only reaffirmed the company's commitment to customer satisfaction.

The Bottom Line: Is tastyworks legit? Yes. (Note: The company is now known as tastytrade.) Founded by former option floor traders in Chicago, tastytrade (formerly known as tastyworks) seeks to serve retail options traders by giving them an excellent platform with tons of educational resources.

That said, tastytrade offers one of the best programs for fractional shares, popular with new and buy-and-hold investors. The pricing for options and cryptocurrency are quite favorable at tastytrade, though Ally Invest and E-Trade both offer attractive commissions without having to trade huge quantities, too.

The difference in the overall score of the two brokers is not substantial and in terms of fees as well as depositing / withdrawing money, both tastytrade and thinkorswim (TD Ameritrade) score low. However, it's much easier to open an account with tastytrade.

However, both companies are part of IG Group. In June 2021, IG Group completed the acquisition of Tastytrade for $1 billion, with $300 million in cash and $700 million in the form of 61 million new ordinary shares of IG Group.
