Does Texas use CE Broker?
CE Broker is the official CE tracking system of the Texas Optometry Board.
Subscription with CE Broker is completely voluntary and is not required to self submit CE credits.
If your account is set up with the correct license information, your completions are automatically reported to the appropriate board. Accounts that are missing relevant license information will result in course completions not being automatically reported, and a delay in the overall reporting process.

Rules underlying CE marking
Responsibility for CE marking lies with whoever puts the product on the market in the EU, i.e. an EU-based manufacturer, the importer or distributor of a product made outside the EU, or an EU-based office of a non-EU manufacturer.
The CE Mark is recognized almost globally—in addition to being valid in all countries of the European Union. By comparison, FDA approval is valid only in the United States. For this reason, it is more attractive to companies to apply for the CE Mark first.

How are my CE credits reported to the Florida Board? The Florida Department of Health uses CE Broker as their official continuing education reporting system. When a continuing education course is completed, it is sent to CE Broker who records and tracks all CE credits.

How long does it take for Relias to report to CE Broker?
There may be a small delay from the time we report completions to CE Broker and the time the completions appear on your CE Broker roster. Please allow for 3-5 days from the course completion date for the completion to show on your CE Broker roster.
Those who are licensed by the Boards of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology are among the professions that may use CE Broker to track their continuing education credits. However, Michigan licensees are not required to enter continuing education credits into CE Broker in order to submit for license renewal.

However, the CE mark does not apply in the United States, and electronic devices that have received CE certification cannot legally enter the United States market without also passing testing for US electrical compliance regulations. Is UL Certification Mandatory in the United States of America? The UL mark is often considered to be the equivalent of the marking that is known in the European Union as the CE marking. The UL mark, however, is not a legally mandatory marking, but a voluntary certification.
A product with the CE mark must not be harmful to people's health or safety, or to the environment. When a manufacturer puts the CE mark on a product, they are declaring that the product is safe and that this can be documented.

Why are brokers free?
Getting help from a mortgage broker is usually free for you. They don't charge you directly because they get paid by the banks for bringing them a customer (i.e. you). If you're getting a loan of $500,000 and the broker's commission is 0.5%, the bank will pay them $2,500 for leading you to them.
