Why does Jake imprint on Bella's baby?

After Renesmee looked at Jacob in his eyes, he imprinted on her … but it doesn't necessarily mean that he fell in love with her while she was still a baby. Rather, Jacob's imprint on Renesmee created a bond between them that, hopefully, would be more protective than romantic.
In the Twilight series, Bella initially gets upset with Jacob for imprinting on her daughter, Renesmee, because she doesn't understand the nature of imprinting. Imprinting in the Twilight universe is a werewolf phenomenon where a werewolf finds their soulmate and becomes unconditionally, irrevocably in love with them.

Jacob was initially in love with Bella, but she chose Edward and gave birth to Renesmee, a half-human, half-vampire hybrid. As part of the imprinting, Jacob will only be a brother figure to Renesmee until she comes of age, by which time she may develop romantic feelings for him, and vice versa.
He does but in a different way. Once he imprinted on Renesme, the love he had for Bella shifted to her child. The whole philosophy behind his love for Bella was for him to stay connected to her bc of her child. Renesme was the reason his love was so strong and unwavering.
As was stated by Stephanie Meyer in the book ECLIPSE, Jacob isn't aging. So he is infact going to be the same as long as he keeps changing to wolf. Once he stops, he will continue aging like a normal man. So I think Jacob would keep changing as long as he feels he needs to protect Renesme.
Imprinting just happens, no control. If Jacob didn't do it that day they saw each other after he'd joined the pack, it was never going to happen. He actually thought he'd never imprint because he loved Bella and he didn't believe he'd ever have the capacity to care any more about someone else.
Nicola Renesmee even though she was a infant she was very smart a knew that her mother "Bella" was dying, & needed Edward 's venom, she bit Bella"her mom" to snap her out of the moment of seeing her newborn 'Renesmee " so she could get the much needed venom from Edward, so she'd have a fighting chance of living.

Everybody always talks about the age gap between Bella and Edward, but never about Bella and Jacob. Isn't Bella like 17-18, and Jacob is 15-16? To me it gives off that creepy “senior dating a freshman” vibe.

Renesmee can sustain herself on a human diet, though she shows little interest in consuming such fare during the events of Breaking Dawn. She also can survive on a blood diet, like the other members of the Cullen. While she prefers human blood, like all vampires, Renesmee can subsist on a "vegetarian" diet.
